Truth is a cherished word and people across ages have held it in high reverence.

Yet truth is also a dreaded construct which has consumed great philosophers like Socrates.

This world which thrives on falsehoods and half-truths find its lovers indigestible.

Poetry is the realm of absolute truth which is the reason why poets are out of reckoning by the ruling dispensations.

We are living in a world of post truth in which truth has no reality, what we come across are versions of truth which are comfortable to men.

    Review: “THE TRUTH”

A JOURNEY THROUGH TRUTH: DIVERS VISIONS, ONE ESSENCE

Written by Poet and Translator Lebanese-Brazilian TAGHRID BOU MERHI

Imagine standing in front of a broken mirror—each shard reflects a slightly different angle of your face, yet all belong to one whole. This is how the theme of truth unfolds in the anthology titled "The Truth", a compelling collection that brings together 89 poems and 15 articles, each a mirror fragment offering a unique perspective, yet contributing to a shared human quest: to understand what truth really means.

Published under the editorial direction of Zlatan Demirovic, this powerful work gathers voices from different cultures, ages, and literary styles, all converging on one of the most elusive and essential concepts in human existence: truth. From the first page, the reader is drawn into a world of reflections, challenges, confrontations, and revelations.

The strength of this anthology lies in its diversity of expression. While the majority of the poems and articles focus directly on the subject of truth, no two contributors approach it in the same way. Some poets explore truth as an internal compass, one that aligns with conscience and personal integrity. Others see it as a painful revelation that disrupts comfort and forces change. In contrast, several articles tackle truth through philosophical, psychological, or even political lenses—suggesting that while truth is universal in concept, it is deeply personal and subjective in experience.

Despite the wide array of interpretations, all contributors seem to agree on one thing: truth is not a fixed point—it is a living, breathing essence. It can liberate, confront, inspire, or even wound, but it is always necessary. Whether expressed through metaphors of light piercing darkness, or through personal narratives that lay bare raw human emotion, truth in this collection emerges as both a burden and a blessing.

This anthology doesn’t merely celebrate the abstract idea of truth—it challenges the reader to engage with it personally. It poses uncomfortable questions and invites deep introspection. In doing so, "The Truth" transcends being just a literary compilation—it becomes an experience, a dialogue, a mirror.

In a world saturated with noise and half-truths, this collection reminds us that the pursuit of truth is not only noble, but essential to our humanity.

Prodigy Magazine-Truth is shortly coming out. This is a special issue on truth.
This issue of Prodigy includes my philosophical essay, "The Hierarchy of Truth and Dissolution of Self," among the fifteen total essays featured. The editor is my friend, the internationally renowned writer Zlatan Demirovic.
I wish this special issue is well appreciated by readers worldwide.
May love reign human hearts, and may peace prevail in the world!

Many poetry magazines worldwide publish themed issues, inspiring poets to explore specific concepts. For example, an issue focused on 'Truth' could encourage poets to examine the foundations of belief. While poetry can certainly raise awareness and provoke thought on themes like human rights, peace, and conscience, attributing direct global impact on governance or rule of law to a single, specific magazine requires verifiable evidence of its scale and influence, which isn't available for a publication named 'Prodigy Magazine'."
